PERI

Plague Ecosystem Resilience to Intervention (2016-2018).

PERI was a collaboration between Oslo and Minnesota, with Susan Jones and Marlene Zuk. We investigated the ecosystem-scale plague interventions of the former USSR, using archival works, interviews with Soviet plague researchers, and Russian sources.

Susan and Marlene were great to work with, and the topic of the paper is highly relevant - as society, our initial response seems to be that we want to eradicate diseases, while control seems to be a far more effective avenue.
